Lightroom Tips – How to detect all collections containing specific photograph

While standing on a specific photograph in the Library module you can easily see what keywords are being used. This can be easily done by viewing the ‘Keyword List’ panel on the right side and seeing what keywords are marked.

Collections do not work the same and knowing which collections contain a specific photograph is less obvious.

In order to do so, you need to:

  • Right Click on specific photograph
  • Stand on ‘Show in Collection’
  • a sub-menu will open up with a list collections that includes the specific photograph

Update (Nov. 8th, 09): It seems that Lightroom 3 beta introduced a more intuitive approach. lightroom-blog writes about it here.
